What changed
On November 5, 2026, Notion said the Notion Calendar app for iOS was rebuilt from the ground up. The post calls the new app faster and native. It lists month, week, and schedule views, viewing and editing events offline, and support for iPad and iPhone Duo.
Ivan Zhao quoted that post. He said the iOS app was rebuilt from scratch, and that rebuilds of other clients are coming soon. He did not name those clients or a date.
The release notes live on the App Store listing published by Notion Labs, Incorporated. Version 2.0.0 says: "Notion Calendar 2.0 is a big update, rebuilt for iPhone and iPad to make planning your time feel faster and easier." The same notes add:
- Month, full-week, and schedule views.
- iPad support, with more room to plan the day.
- Offline access, so you can view and edit the calendar without a connection.
- Fully reimagined navigation.
The listing requires iOS 18.0 or later on iPhone and iPadOS 18.0 or later on iPad. It also lists Apple Vision on visionOS 2.0 or later.
Checked on November 6, 2026, the listing's current version is 2.1.0, released November 5, 2026. Those notes follow 2.0.0 on the same app: easier navigation, richer event details, and calendar-view improvements. Search sits beside Today. Calendars are managed next to the new-event button. Supported calendars can add focus time, out-of-office events, and birthdays. Month view shows more of each event title, Week view restores event icons, and the notes include fixes for some recurring events and for time zones when an event is created from the grid.
The Help Center page for Notion Calendar apps, checked the same day, still describes the older mobile app. The App Store notes for 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 are the current description.
Why it matters
Month, full-week, and schedule views put a week and a month on the phone and the iPad. Offline view and edit means a schedule change can happen with no connection.
iPad support is its own line in the 2.0.0 notes. Duo support is in the November 5 post, for the Calendar app. iPhone Duo support is the Notion iOS app, with the sidebar, the page, and Notion AI side by side.
Offline in these notes is the Calendar app's events. Notion offline auto-download is recent and favorite Notion pages in the Notion app. The Calendar 2.0.0 notes do not name a Notion plan for the rebuilt iOS app.
What to set up first
- Update Notion Calendar from the App Store. Version 2.0.0 is the native rebuild. As of November 6, 2026, the listing's current build is 2.1.0, the navigation and event-detail follow-up from the same day.
- Use an iPhone on iOS 18.0 or later, or an iPad on iPadOS 18.0 or later. The listing also names Apple Vision on visionOS 2.0 or later.
- In the updated app, switch among month, full-week, and schedule views. Offline view and edit is part of the 2.0.0 notes. Those notes do not name a separate settings screen for it.
