Embed a Notion Custom Agent chat inside a page

TL;DR

Notion 3.7, released September 15, 2026, lets teams embed a Custom Agent chat in a page. People with access to the agent can use it there; the embed does not automatically share the agent or give it access to the surrounding page.

What changed

Custom Agent chats can appear inside Notion pages. Copy an agent's link, paste it into a page, and choose Embed.

Notion announced this in Notion 3.7, alongside reusable skills and agent delegation.

Why it matters

A project hub can put a relevant agent next to the work it supports. For example, a team could place a project Q&A agent beside its current brief instead of expecting everyone to find the agent separately.

Treat placement and access as separate setup decisions. Test with a teammate who has ordinary access before presenting the page as a shared help surface.

Frequently asked questions

Does embedding an agent share it with everyone on the page?

No. People still need access to the agent itself.

Can the embedded agent automatically read its host page?

No. Add the page to the agent's Tools and access settings if it should use that content.

Where could a team use an embedded agent?

A project hub or onboarding page is a possible starting point. Choose a narrow job, name its owner, and test the answers against approved source material.
